STACKABLE TUBULAR FRAME CONVEYORS

STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS

STACKABLE CONVEYOR WIDTHS

Belt widths of 24", 30" and 36" are standard. Other widths are available upon request. See Table A.

STACKABLE CONVEYOR LENGTHS

Standard conveyor lengths are 40 ft. through 72 ft. in 4'-0' increments. Other lengths are available upon request. See Table A.

STACKABLE CONVEYOR FRAME

Truss type, constructed entirely of tubular members. Chords are square tubing, while all other members are round. Unique design provides for 4 1/4 " clearance from belt edge to nearest truss member (when belt is centered). Round side frame members (as compared with sharp leg of angles) provide further belt protection. Complete truss is 2'-0" in depth, allowing for a "stack" of four conveyors on one trailer, and widths through 36" provide for two conveyors (side-by- side)-thus eight 36" stackables on one truckload, within legal height and width.

STACKABLE CONVEYOR - HINGED MODEL

A hinged joint can be furnished in any location in 4 ft. multiples along the conveyor length. Hinge provides for "Tail End" folding. Minimum folded section is 10 ft. (14 ft. if conveyor loading hopper is extended an additional 4 ft.).

PULLEYS

Heavy duty, all steel welded type, individually turned and crowned to ensure true concentricity with the bore. Faces of the pulleys are machined. OSHA/MSHA pulley guards and tail pulley cage are standard.

RUBBER LAGGING FOR HEAD PULLEY

Heavy duty, top quality "Ruff Top" rubber lagging furnished on crown face pulley. Installed in multiple widths to ensure conformity to crown face.

IDLERS

MARCO Series M15 - 4 1/2' dia. rolls, with pre-lubricated ball bearings which require no further lubrication. Troughing Idlers are spaced on 4'-0" centers with two extra at the loading point; return idlers are spaced on 10'-0" centers. 35o idlers are standard. Impact idlers and self-aligning return idlers are available as optional equipment.

BELT TAKE-UP

Screw type, acid cleaned and plated, providing 18" adjustment.

RETURN BELT WIPER

"Plow type", equipped with gum rubber flashing, and is mounted in front of tail pulley to prevent entrance of material between return belt and pulleys. Wiper is provided only when tail pulley is solid (as opposed to self-cleaning).

CONVEYOR DRIVE

Drive includes shaft mounted helical gear speed reducer (gears are enclosed and running in oil), driver and driven sheaves and vee belts. All drive components are selected to adequately transmit horsepower required. OSHA/MSHA drive guard is standard.

ELECTRIC MOTOR

Horsepowers vary with capacity, length and incline. Motor sizes are selected with ample safety factors to provide an efficient and reliable power source. 1800 RPM, TEFC, Nema design "C", hi-torque, 3 phase, 60 Hertz, 230- 460 volt motor is considered standard.

CONVEYOR BELT

The use of 35o troughing idlers on 4 ft. centers provides ideal conditions for the use of belts with synthetic fabrics. Strength of fabric, number of plies, and thickness of rubber top and bottom covers, are combined to ideally satisfy the installation requirements.

OPTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS

CONVEYOR SPAN AND CONVEYOR SUPPORTS

Spanability varies with load conditions, weight of material, belt width, accessories, etc. Forward supports are adjustable, with telescoping legs. See  standard support groups.

BACKSTOP

When conditions indicate the belt and load will reverse under power failure, a backstop should be selected. Backstop is mounted in the shaft mounted reducer, and runs in oil.

BELT WIPER (for Head Pulley)

Equipped with double rubber squeegee and adjustable tension springs, providing constant pressure on belt surface. Mounted under pulley to provide greatest efficiency.

RUBBER DISC IMPACT TROUGHING IDLERS

Three rubber disc impact troughing idlers can be furnished in place of standard troughing idlers.

SELF-ALIGNING RETURN IDLERS

Self-aligning return idlers can be furnished for alignment of the return belt.

LOADING HOPPER EXTENSION

Basic loading hopper can be extended 4 ft., making a total length of 9 ft.

LOADING BOX FOR TAIL - (EXTENSION OF STANDARD LOADING HOPPER

Loading boxes will accept, and center, material coming from any direction. Loading box must be removed for transport.
